Reasons and solutions for general failures of oil burners:
In the current market, various companies have responded to my country's call to ban coal-fired boilers. As more and more coal-fired boilers are transformed into biomass fuels. I have received many consultation calls from customers who use biomass burners to transform, mainly because many customers have just started to use this environmentally friendly new equipment, and they are unskilled or improperly operated, causing some failures. Today, I will mainly talk about common failure causes and the solution.
Common causes and troubleshooting methods of heating equipment burners:
1. The renovated boiler chimney suddenly emits black smoke
Reason: The main reason is that too much material is fed, and the furnace cannot be burned and digested in time, resulting in insufficient combustion and black smoke.
Solution: Stop feeding for a few minutes and observe the normal exhaust of the chimney before starting normal feeding; reduce the feeding speed, subject to no black smoke emission from the chimney;
2. Sparks rebound at the boiler mouth
Reason: The fuel burner equipment system used has accumulated too much ash and slag, the exhaust is not smooth, or the burner nozzle is blocked by carbon deposits.
Treatment method: clean and dredge the ash and slag accumulated in the heat transfer system of the production line or clean the ash and slag accumulated in the burner nozzle. Generally used in 8 hours/working day, the slag accumulated in the furnace or pipe heat transfer system of the equipment is cleaned and dredged once every 3 months. Also remember not to buy cheap pellets of inferior quality.
Special precautions for the operation and operation of the heating equipment burner
1. The fuel must use pure wood pellets with a diameter of 6-8mm. Do not use pellet fuels with too much ash and debris. Prevent metal and other foreign objects from entering the bin when the biomass silo is feeding! If the equipment is damaged due to poor fuel or iron objects entering the bin, the service life and warranty of the equipment will be affected.
2. The furnace chamber of the reformed coal-fired boiler or other drying line equipment is under negative pressure, and excessive positive pressure is strictly prohibited. If the positive pressure is too large, wind-inducing equipment should be installed;
3. The fuel tank cover must be closed when the fuel burner is running to prevent squandering. When shutting down the furnace, be sure to close the shutoff valve to prevent backfire;
4. If there is material blocking or jam during operation, (usually caused by too long particles), you can poke it with a wooden stick. Do not use iron wire or steel bar to prevent the screw from being caught in the screw and causing damage to the screw;
5. Precautions for nozzle decoking: When the burner is running for a long time, coking will occur near the nozzle. If this phenomenon occurs, it will seriously affect the operation of the burner. Severe cases will cause damage to the burner! Therefore, regular inspection and decoking are required. (It is recommended to check once every 3 to 7 days).
Decoking method: Take the burner out of the equipment and tap the coke block gently with a wooden or iron rod from the burner to make it out of the gasification chamber. (Be careful not to damage the gasification chamber and the fire channel when decoking.) Coking has a lot to do with fuel, so pure wood fuel is recommended. This is why we recommend customers to buy high-quality pellets, and don't be greedy for cheap and lose big because of small losses.
