Reasons and solutions for the failure of the boiler burner to ignite:

1. The fuel injector of the burner of the hot water boiler does not inject oil

Possible causes include blockage of the oil supply pipeline, the oil pump does not pump oil, and the vacuum leakage of the oil supply pipeline. Remove the high-pressure oil outlet pipe to check the oil pumping condition of the oil pump. When pumping oil normally, the oil column should be sprayed out.

There is another reason why the fuel injection nozzle of the hot water boiler does not spray fuel, that is, the fuel cutoff solenoid valve is not energized. When the fuel cut-off solenoid valve loses power, even if the fuel pump is running normally, the high-pressure end will not supply fuel to the fuel injection nozzle. Only when the controller turns on the fuel cut-off solenoid valve can diesel fuel be injected. The purpose is to prevent the original accumulation in the furnace. The diesel fuel will deflagrate when exposed to an open flame. Under normal circumstances, the burner will perform pre-blowing during ignition to blow out the residual diesel in the combustion chamber, and then inject fuel to ignite. In the pre-blowing phase, although the oil pump motor is running, the oil cut-off solenoid valve is not energized, and the high-pressure diesel oil pumped by the oil pump is cut off by the oil cut-off solenoid valve and cannot flow to the fuel injection nozzle.

2. No ignition high voltage

After the ignition transformer is energized, a high voltage of about 8KV is generated, which breaks down the electrode gap and generates a strong spark to ignite the diesel oil mist. When the flame burns stably, there is no need for electric spark ignition. The flame sensor sends the flame status information to the controller to stop the ignition transformer.

The reason why high-voltage fire does not occur is that the ignition transformer is not energized (may be the power supply line or the relay in the controller is in poor contact); the second is that the insulation between the two ignition electrodes is poor due to carbon deposits, the high voltage is leaked, and no discharge spark is generated. The distance between the ignition electrodes should be about 3mm, and the distance between the ignition electrode and the front face of the nozzle is about 5~7mm, and the two electrodes must be well insulated.

3. The oil pump pressure of the hot water boiler burner is low

After long-term use and wear, the maximum pressure of the oil pump will gradually drop, resulting in poor atomization of the fuel injection, difficult to ignite, a large amount of smoke after a fire, unstable flame, and adjusting the pressure of the oil pump will not help. The nozzle aging, causing poor atomization is similar to this.
