Development and Application of New Combustion Technology in Foreign Aluminium Industry Furnaces (3)

The air-pure oxygen-fuel combustion system is a flexible combustion method that can be adapted to the specific needs of the melting process or melting furnace. The characteristics of flame length, brightness and convection heat transfer can be adjusted according to the ratio of air and pure oxygen. In addition, an additional set of oxygen lances can be used to complete the full combustion of combustibles in the furnace.

The oxy-fuel combustion system can be designed and selected according to needs to achieve the best energy efficiency, the least emissions and the lowest melting cost; the oxy-fuel combustion flame can be dynamically adjusted, and the flame can be greatly changed, so It can better meet the requirements of the melting process and achieve the best operating effect; the pure oxy-fuel combustion flame can achieve round, flat, long, short and other flame types. Linde has developed a series of pure oxygen and oxygen-enriched combustion technologies to provide high-efficiency, energy-saving, low-cost and high-efficiency solutions that cover all the major recycled metal melting processes.

Pure Oxygen Combustion Technology Solution
WASTOX combustion technology combines oxygen lance injection technology with burner combustion control technology to achieve full combustion of combustible emissions (that is, volatile organic compounds) in the furnace. By monitoring the composition of the flue gas, the carbonaceous substances burned into the furnace raw materials, and using these energy to reduce the conventional fuel consumption of the converter burner.
This patented technology has been successfully installed in single-channel and dual-channel converters all over the world.

FLEXFLAME combustion technology can adjust the flame length of the oxy-fuel burner according to the specific requirements of the melting operation. This ability to adjust the flame length allows the operator to optimize the flame heating characteristics without changing the oxygen-fuel ratio of the burner or the nozzle geometry, and provide an appropriate combustion flame for each different melting process. This technology has been installed in the field of reverberatory furnaces and converters, significantly improving production efficiency, reducing overall production costs and harmful flue gas emissions. The goal of low temperature pure oxygen combustion (LTOF) technology development is to improve the melting capacity and efficiency of the reverberatory furnace. The uniquely designed LTOF burner can realize the flue gas in the entrainment furnace enters the burner mixing zone, dilutes the oxygen concentration in the front of the burner and slows down the rate of the combustion reaction, thereby generating a lower flame temperature and achieving a combustion flame with air-fuel Close flame temperature. This LTOF pure oxygen combustion flame characteristic makes the temperature in the furnace more uniform, eliminates local hot spots, reduces fuel consumption, reduces flue gas emissions and improves metal recovery. AIROX combustion technology is a combination of air-pure oxygen-fuel fuel technology innovation and development of a multi-functional flexible combustion system, which can adjust the combustion system from 21% oxygen content (air) to 100% oxygen content (pure oxygen). This flexible operating range allows the production process to dynamically adjust the flame characteristics to meet the demand for combustion flames in each melting process, while reducing production costs by optimizing energy consumption.
